PTO News 

Beaverdash – Final day to turn in donations is tomorrow, Friday, April 27th, to have them count towards prizes.  The flyer with prize levels is attached.

 

Staff Appreciation Week- Help us celebrate our staff all next week, 5/1-5/5!  We’ll kick things off this Sunday, 4/30/23, between 11:00 and 1:00 by decorating the sidewalks around the school with chalk art.  All next week we will relieve staff of morning yard duty, no need to complete a volunteer packet, Mrs. Carrillo will be present.  You can sign-up to help with either of these at

If you’re not available for either of these activities we are also planning a “Sweets & Snacks” cart on Thursday and are looking for donations of individually wrapped snacks (cookies, granola bars, fruit, etc).  You can bring your items to the office up to Thursday morning.

4thR Fall Registration

Registration for the 2023/2024 school year started 4/26/23 for Transisitonal Kindergarten and Kindergarten.  Registration for 1st through 6th grades will start on Wednesday, 5/3/23.  Please email bancroft4thr@cityofsacramento.org for more information.

4thR will be closed on Memorial Day, May 29th.

 

Office News

Open House will be held Wednesday, May 3rd.  Classrooms will be open starting at 5:30 PM. 

 

Last Day of School will be a minimum day, no change for TK or Kindergarten.  Grades 1-3 will be dismissed at 12:10 PM, grades 4-6 will be dismissed at 12:24 PM. Students may have lunch in the cafeteria, but must be picked up, or go to their on-site program as soon as they are done.

 

Summer Matters will be held at Bancroft this year!  The program is open to all incoming TK-6th graders, between June 26th and July 28th, daily from 8:00 AM -2:30 PM (except 7/4/23).  The program will include academic enrichment, social emotional learning, healthy choices, STEM, outdoor activities, snack and lunch.  Go to https://www.youthdevelopmentscusd.org/summer-2023 to register, and for more details.  Space is limited, registration ends May 15th, parents will be notified between 5/30/23 and 6/9/23 with more details.

 

NEW WAY TO REPORT ATTENDANCE!  You can now go to our website, hbancroft.scusd.edu and report your student’s absence.  Look for the “hand” on the homescreen and complete the form, it is automatically sent to the attendance desk. You can also still leave a message on our 24 hour attendance line at 916-395-4595, press 1, send an email to shelly-fleming@scusd.edu, or send a note with your student upon return.

 

2023-2024 Kindergarten/TK Registration

Parents may register on-line at https://www.scusd.edu/kindergarten-registration, https://www.scusd.edu/transitional-kindergarten, in person at the Enrollment Center, or pick-up a packet (Kinder only) from the office and turn it in at the Enrollment Center. Kindergarten students must turn five on or before September 1, 2023, and have all the required immunizations. Transitional Kindergarten students must turn 5 between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024, and have received their required immunizations. New this year for TK, families need to register for their neighborhood school, or the nearest school with a program, enter your address at http://www.scusd.edu/school-finder to find your closest site.
