Student Council News

Student council has organized several Spirit Days in the next few weeks.  Every Wednesday in October they ask everyone to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Friday, October 18th will be Crazy Hair day.  Look for a flyer coming soon about Red Ribbon Week with daily themes.

 

Runnin’ for Rhett starts Monday, October 21st 

Come train with us to run the maraFUNrun 5K on Saturday, December 7th

Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays after school 2:15pm-3:15pm

Cost is free for all students and includes race day bib, t-shirt, and medal..

Perfect Attendance Drawing – King’s Box Seat Tickets

As a special incentive for Perfect Attendance between Monday, October 7th and Friday, December 6th any student who has no tardy’s and no absences will be entered in a drawing for a FREE ticket to the King’s game (vs. Thunder) on December 11th.  The prize includes a box seat ticket for the student and an adult, food and drink!!  Up to 10 winners will be drawn!

 

SPOOKY Saturday

Mark your calendar our annual PTO Spooky Saturday! It will be October 26th from 3:00-6:00 PM on the blacktop.  We are in need of sponsors, so if you, or a business you know would like to sponsor please contact hubertbancroftpto@gmail.com.

Did you know SCUSD has a School Wellness Policy?  It discourages sweet food treats for classroom celebrations, they suggest fresh fruits, vegetables or small tokens (pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.).  To see if your treat is in compliance check out www.californiaprojectlean.org.
